Everything is romantic, and so are sales. There’s something about a good bargain that everybody loves…...girl math, some would say. I pride myself on always being able to find amazing things for a fraction of the price. There’s beauty in getting lost in a selection that wasn’t meant to be loved or algorithmically curated to my tastes. The sale rack can become a place for serendipity, finding a new designer/artist or just stumbling upon something completely new to you.
!!!!!!!!!
Today I saw Terranova putting some books on sale, and as the maniac I am, I have decided to go through all their catalogue and dig into their discounted pieces, do some more research and chose some that might be of your interest. If you don’t know Terranova, you should. The place itself its a joy to visit, just to browse around and look for inspiration.
A series of pin-up drawings created by Japanese artist Harumi Yamaguchi since the 1970s. Who doesn’t like some airbrushed girlies. Check some of the spreads here:
Dive into the cabinet of images of Vince. An American critic and curator that has been collecting images from magazines and books since the 1970s. This one seems so fun, every juxtaposition of every page, seems like going through Tumblr irl again.
A selection of drawings by Julien Meert started in 2018. Most of them look like butts and intestines, jajajaja kinda fun.

Alphabet is a bi-yearly art magazine. Not a magazine about art. It’s a magazine made by artists. Just Check the credits of the artist featured in the first number. I think it’s self explanatory. I always like publications that give playfields to people instead of interviews only.
Erik reinterprets the book “Ein Volk ehrt seinen Führer’” (a book about Hitlers birthday). He does so by using carefully placed coins, to censor every controversial image in the book. Doing a full different version of the original.
Hope you enjoy this random post.
xoxo and see you soon.
